5a. Account Deletion
You may request permanent deletion of your account and personal data at any time by visiting the Delete My Account option on your profile page and confirming your password.
Upon submitting a deletion request:
- A 7-day grace period begins. Your account remains accessible for login, viewing order history, and cancelling the deletion request during this time.
- You will not be able to place new orders or submit enquiries during the grace period.
- If you change your mind, you can cancel the deletion request at any time before the 7 days expire from your profile page.
- After 7 days, your account and all associated personal data — name, email, phone, saved addresses, wishlist, blog comments, blog likes, and login sessions — will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
What is retained after deletion: Order records — including the name, email, phone number, and address associated with each order at the time of booking — are retained for 8 years from the date of the order, as required under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Section 36), for tax and accounting compliance. This information reflects a snapshot of your details at the time of that specific order and is no longer linked to your user account — it cannot be used to access, restore, or identify your deleted account. This retention is a lawful exception to the right to erasure under Section 12(5) of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
